Many job opportunities are available for tourism students

TTH.VN - On August 20, the College of Tourism - Hue University held a 2024 Job Fair. This was the first time that the college held this activity.

Students discussing recruitment demands with business representatives 

This job fair served as a venue where students and workers could get direct meetings and discussions with business representatives. Here, they could search for a job that matches their major and abilities; at the same time participating in sharing sessions, counseling, and career orientation from recruitment experts; thus, getting new soft skills for their future jobs.

This was also an occasion for the businesses and recruiters to find the workers who can be suitable for their development plans and orientations.

Nearly 20 businesses and groups leading in the field of service - tourism nationwide participated in this job fair. Nearly 1,000 job positions were recruited by the businesses. In 2024, more than 500 students from the College of Tourism will graduate. This means that each student has nearly 2 job opportunities to choose from the job fair.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Tuan, Rector of the College of Tourism -Hue University said that over time, the college has made numerous changes to its training programs, heading to develop a tourism workforce that is not only strong in theory but also skilled in practice. The college has extended the internship courses to 6 months, as well as connecting to many major tourism businesses to get the opportunities for their students to work in a working environment with high service demands and standards, helping them to enhance their skills.
