Inherently being called a regal flower associated with the image of the Nguyen Dynasty in Hue, the annual blooming season of Firmiana simplex (also known as Chinese parasol) flowers is in late March and April, creating picturesque images in the space of Hue Imperial Citadel.

On April 20, Hoang Tuan Long, an architect from Ho Chi Minh City, confirmed that he would continue to implement the volunteer community project of the work "Map of Vietnam" made from giang toothpicks at the BOARC exhibition – the Exhibition of handmade creative designs, which is due to take place from April 28 to May 5 (within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023).

The conference themed “Developing an open innovation start-up ecosystem in association with investment and technology transfer activities in Thua Thien Hue province” was held on the morning of April 18th.

In response to the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, on the morning of April 18, Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the exhibition “Preserving the Historical Vestige – Discovering Tang Tho Lau (Archive Pavilion)”. The event included many activities such as the exhibition of books and paintings themed "Hue - April sunshine", a publication design contest "life-changing books", talks, and an introduction of historical novels about the Nguyen dynasty by the writer Tran Thuy Mai. On this occasion, a number of publishers, and authors also donated books to the Provincial General Library.

On the morning of April 16, the Organizing Committee of VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 presented prizes to athletes with outstanding achievements right at the finish line at the Provincial Sports Center (Ha Huy Tap Street, Hue City).
