One rainy day in Hue, I received an elaborate and impressive design for artist Dang Mau Tuu’s upcoming painting exhibition in Hanoi. It is surprising because he recently had an exhibition “Aotearoa - a region of white clouds” at Hue Museum of Fine Arts in June 2023, after he had just returned from New Zealand. Four months later, he continued with his own exhibition titled “Specks of dust in life” in Hanoi with 20 works painted on acrylic. This is Dang Mau Tuu’s first solo exhibition in Hanoi.
Artifacts and concerns about preservation

That the preservation warehouse and the display system are all reused from the renovated old building, so it is not suitable for the museum's function, and although the equipment has been invested, it still does not meet the requirements of preserving artifacts. Those are the situation that Hue Fine Arts Museum - a public museum established nearly 5 years ago, is facing. The concern for the safety of the artifacts and the desire to have a well-preserved warehouse are always the concerns of the unit's leaders.

Within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, the Japanese ceramic exhibition “Yakishime - Shape of the Earth” offers visitors a unique perspective on the craft of the land of Fusang. The exhibition is held by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam in collaboration with Hue Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition is opened from April 27th to May 14th at the Diem Phung Thi Art Center.
