From the Hue lotus with a close and familiar appearance, researchers at the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University have "transformed" each part of the traditional lotus plant into attractive products on Vietnamese people's dining tables and living rooms; and, it is going to be exported to America in the near future.

Currently, A Luoi locals have been creating many small and fashionable products to serve customers' needs from Zèng fabric, which is usually only used to sew shirts, skirts, and loincloths.

To make this product, sometimes the process of picking leaves, stripping, drying, dyeing, knitting… takes more than a month. Ta Oi girl, before coming to her husband's house, must have a few of these mats as an offering to show love and respect for the groom's family.

Thousands of scientific and technological projects, solutions and research projects of scientists and inventors in Hue have been accepted and approved. However, the number of projects transferred and applied to real life and into commercialized products is still limited.
