On the morning of November 12, the Department of Tourism organized a display space to introduce healthcare tourism facilities and products in Thua Thien Hue.

On the afternoon of November 3, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to confer the title of “Artisan” in the field of handicrafts, and commend typical rural industrial products in the Central and Central Highland regions in 2022. The ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Quy Phuong.

Building a brand of craft village products, linking manufacturers and building a production-consumption chain between artisans and enterprises is a must-do to promote handicraft village products.

As a locality having the largest area of centella asiatica growing in the provincial area, with around 70 hectares concentrating in Phuoc Yen and La Van Thuong communes, including 52 hectares of centella asiatica grown following the standard of VietGAP, Quang Tho has built centella asiatica as a main OCOP product. Products made of centella asiatica such as matcha centella powder, centella juice, dried centella, etc. are also the favorite choices in the market.

Thua Thien Hue is a locality with numerous traditional crafts and craft villages, but due to the lack of links in production, the designs are not rich and the output prices are not consistent. So, many handicraft products in the province have difficulty on the market and many artisans and craftsmen struggle to "live" with their profession.

With the application to support digital transformation for businesses, the Provincial IT Center - HueCIT has excellently won the VietNam Digital Awards - VDA 2022 in the category of Products, Typical Digital Technology Solutions, and Services. This is the third year in a row that HueCIT has been honored by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association at the recent Vietnam Digital Awards 2022.

Every year, before the rainy season, people in “aquaculture barns” such as Chuon lagoon, coastal communes of Phu Vang, Phu Loc, Phong Dien, Huong Tra, Hue city regularly inspects their ponds and cages to harvest fish and shrimp to avoid damage caused by storms and floods.

Taking place on October 6 at 53 Nguyen Hue, Hue City, the innovation festival for Hue traditional products held by the People’s Committee of Hue City in collaboration with the Provincial Innovation Start-up Center is an activity to raise the capacity of branding and sales for Hue specialties and traditional products.

The Department of Tourism just coordinated with the People's Committee of Huong Tra town to organize a survey trip for tourism products in the locality on October 6th. The delegation included local tourism businesses and tourism experts.

For a long time, Hue conical hats have been defaulted not only as a commercial product but also as the culture and the soul of Hue when it is combined with ao dai, bringing elegance and charm to Hue women.
