Climbing areca palms requires health and skill, even if only done seasonally. Yet, some people stick with the profession for years or pay the price with their health and lives.

At the 2024 International Dance Festival, Vietnamese art troupes have achieved outstanding success through performance programs and independent dance works. Woman teacher-artist Quynh Nga has just been honored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as one of 78 advanced role models in the cultural field nationwide in 2023. Just returning from Hanoi, she confided, “I am really touched and delighted to be honored. I feel deeply grateful to my profession, my family, and my colleagues."
