Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 takes place concurrently with the 5-day holiday. This is the time for Hue to stimulate demand and attract tourists to the festival.

On the night of March 6, Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced that they would offer free entrance ticket for female tourists wearing traditional Ao dai to visit relics on International Women’s Day.

After 3-year COVID-19 hiatus, the traditional spring boat race on Vuc River at Huong Thuy town started again on the morning of January 30 (9th day of the lunar month), attracting thousands of viewers to participate and cheer.

In the early days of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023, along with many traditional customs preserved and implemented by Quang Dien district, the custom of seeking and giving calligraphy is also the occasion to celebrate the beginning of new-year writing. On January 30 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), the traditional wrestling festival of Thu Le village (Quang Dien district) took place, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate and watch. Attending was the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho.

On the morning of the second day of the Lunar New Year of the Cat (January 23), the Organizing Committee of the Spring activities in Dien Hoa Commune, Phong Dien District held the traditional Fairy Swing Festival in the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023.

Implementing the project “Hue - the Capital of Ao dai” on the occasion of the 112th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8), Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee has issued the promotion of free entrance fee for female visitors wearing traditional ao dai.

The Tet fair in My Loi village (Vinh My commune, Phu Loc district, located to the South of Hue city) is traditionally only opened in the first three days of the Lunar New Year. The Tet Fair has been preserved and maintained for hundreds of years, showing the traditional culture of the countryside there.
