The stalls sell many local specialties
This fair takes place in two days from May 30 to 31, attracting 23 stalls of many businesses, production and business establishments, and cooperatives with many kinds of goods, especially agricultural products, A Luoi specialties, Zèng cloths and products made from Zèng, agricultural implements, traditional musical instruments, brocade fabric, and upland cuisine, etc.
According to Mr. Phan Duy Khanh, Head of Economic and Infrastructure Division of A Luoi District, which is the unit directly organizes the fair, it is held every three months, mainly on weekends, and holidays so that many locals and visitors can attend it.
The purpose is that through the fair, local specialties will be promoted, thereby creating outputs, so as to help the locals expand their production scale, and increase their income. In addition, it also promote and introduce simultaneously the natural beauty, culture, people, and cuisine of A Luoi, etc., aiming to attract visitors and develop local tourism.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Huy, a visitor participating in A Luoi highland fair, shared: “This is an interesting and unique fair. Along with the experience of A Luoi tourist destinations, this fair gives visitors more knowledge about the characteristics of culture and cuisine of highland people. Moreover, after the trip, we can also bring back the specialties that are not available in the lowland.”
