Thua Thien Hue strengthens cooperation with Se Kong province (Laos)

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of September 15th, the delegation of Sekong Province of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, led by Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Provincial Party Secretary and Governor of Sekong Province – Mr. Leklay Sivilay, visited to meet and worked with the provincial leaders. Welcoming the delegation were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong and leaders of relevant departments, sub-department and branches.

At the meeting, Governor of Se Kong Province – Mr. Leklay Sivilay expressed his joy at the results of friendly cooperation between the two localities. He hoped that there would be more meaningful cooperation activities between Se Kong and Thua Thien Hue in the coming time, which continues to tighten the special solidarity between the two localities.

Governor of Se Kong province also proposed to leaders of Thua Thien Hue to continue to provide care, support and facilitation for border protection forces and residents, especially those residing in Ka Lo and Se Sap villages (Ka Lum district) to stabilize their life; and, at the same time, creating favorable conditions for people, businesses, and investors to exchange goods and trade between the two provinces in the coming time.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that the working visit of the delegation of senior officials of Se Kong province was of great significance. This is an opportunity for leaders of the two provinces to discuss many issues to further promote cooperation between the two localities.

With outstanding results in the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two provinces in recent times, Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong proposed that the two localities would need to continue to strengthen political and diplomatic cooperation, improving the effectiveness of cooperative relations in all fields of security, defense, border, border gates, economy, culture, education, health and so on; thereby, contributing to maintaining, strengthening and developing the friendly relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries Vietnam - Laos in general, and between the two provinces of Thua Thien Hue - Se Kong in particular.
