Flying high with the kites

TTH.VN - For the first time after 2 years being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hue Kite Festival 2022, which was held from April 16 to 23 at Tu Tuong Park, next to the Huong River’s bank, has attracted a huge number of tourists, especially the participation of the kids from the first days.

There, the children got the chances to draw, paint, tie their kite strings by themselves; then, taking momentum and pushing it up high into the sky. Thanks to that, their smiles and radiant faces became more innocent and sparkling in the morning sun.

The kite festival of this year attracted over 80 kites including various shapes and types such as dragons, phoenixes, peacocks, butterflies, chickens, and gold fishes, etc., with the wingspan lengths from 1.5m to 3m for flying and displaying. Especially, a 50m-long dragon kite was also displayed at Tu Tuong Park.

If you come to Hue on this occasion, do not miss this kite festival! And if you haven’t gone yet, Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to suggest you a series of adorable photos of kites taken by our group of photographers Hoang Phuoc – Bao Minh

Major roads are opened

Not only small roads but also many major roads have been opened, in hope that “large roads generate great wealth”, contributing to turning Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed city.

On the day I arrived at the far-off Hong Thuy Commune of the A Luoi border district, I saw the image of a Pa Co woman busily “hunting” goby in a winding stream in the mountain and forest.
