The “Photo exhibition of the images of Ao dai featured on postage stamps” will take place from August 27 to September 2 at Kodo Café (No. 36 – 38 Nguyen Phuc Nguyen, Huong Long Ward, Hue City) on the occasion of Vietnam Stamp Day (August 27).

The flowing ao dai inspired by the Huong River - the poetic and renowned river of Hue, and perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam - have been elegantly showcased by models to the backdrop of music, sometimes serene, sometimes lively, taking the audience through a range of emotions.

On the morning of July 7, Hue Monuments Conservation Center coordinated with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports to organize an incense and flower offering ceremony, and a procession of gratitude to the ancestor on the occasion of the death anniversary of Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat, the person who laid the foundation of Ao dai Vietnam. This is one of the activities responding to Hue Festival 2023, and within the framework of the Autumn Festival’s activities.

During a recent tourism survey in Malaysia, Hue tourism businesses chose to wear the traditional Ao Dai when working with partners.

That is the desire of Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports when talking about the revival of Ao dai at the scientific conference "Promoting the value of the Nguyen Dynasty Ao dai in contemporary life, promoting Hue to become the capital of Ao dai Vietnam" which took place on the afternoon of December 22.

In the gala program “Khúc giao mùa” held to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, Viet Bao, an ao dai artisan and designer, has introduced a collection named “Tram Tich Xu Tho” (the “Sediments of the Poetic Land”) at Duyet Thi Duong Theater inside the Imperial Citadel.

This activity is organized by Hue city Center of Culture, Information and Sports on the morning of June 17 to celebrate the Hue four-seasons Festival 2022 and contribute more materials to build the brandname “Hue - The capital of Ao dai Vietnam”.

In the framework of the exhibition “Vietnam cultural heritages, landscapes and traditional handicrafts” belonging to the National Tourism Year 2021 which is running from December 17 to 24 in Ninh Binh, Thua Thien Hue introduced the ao dai performance show named “The color of heritage” on December 18.

Continuing the series of online exhibitions "Hue - The capital of Ao Dai Vietnam", this week, the Department of Culture and Sports has introduced to the public the exhibition "Ao Dai Hue in the Vietnam Film Festival" on its website and social networking platforms.

The program "Hue people and Ao Dai", a community activity within the framework of the 22nd Vietnam Film Festival, had to cancel the shows at Quoc Hoc Memorial Stele, the Half-Moon Bridge, and Truong Tien Bridge, and turn into online performance and broadcasting, due to the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic.
