On the afternoon of September 5, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper coordinated with the Provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the inauguration ceremony of the “National Flag Road” on the way to Uncle Ho’s Memorial House in Duong No village, Phu Duong Commune (Hue City).

On the morning of August 9th, within the framework of a working visit to Thua Thien Hue province, the delegation from the Salavan and Sekong Provincial Police of Laos paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu.

On the morning of July 28th, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu, together with Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh and leaders of departments and agencies, held a working session with a high-level delegation from Salavan Province led by Dr. Daovong Phonekeo, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Governor of Salavan.

On the morning of June 26, the delegation from Champasak Province, Laos, led by its Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Governor, visited and worked in Thua Thien Hue Province.

Hue’s Western Quarter, including three main streets of Pham Ngu Lao, Chu Van An, and Vo Thi Sau, is a favorite stopover for many domestic and foreign visitors, especially at the end of the day, and the weekends.

Not similar to the “Western Street” (the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau Walking Street) and Hue Imperial City Night Street, Hai Ba Trung Walking Street is expected to be a bustling shopping street, serving the needs of nightlife entertainment for the locals and visitors, which is also a venue of cultural, artistic and street music activities.

On the afternoon of December 27, at the Provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a working meeting with the senior delegation of Salavan lead by the Secretary, Governor of Salavan Province, Lao PDR, Phoxay XAYYASON during their working trip to Thua Thien Hue.

On the way to Laos, there would be several stops at which the participants are able to explore and experience new lands of Laos as well as learn about the culture of the local people.

After the Bangkok - Hue - Bangkok charter flight, Thua Thien Hue plans to open charter and commercial routes connecting Hue ancient capital with some ancient capitals in Southeast Asia, such as: Ayutthaya (Thailand) - Luang Prabang (Laos) - Siem Reap (Cambodia)…

From September 14th to 17th, the provincial Travel Association cooperated with the provincial Tourism Promotion Information Center to organize a famtrip connecting to Laos and Northeast Thailand markets.
