Hue Half Marathon 2023 took place at dawn on June 25, with the participation of thousands of people from all over Vietnam and other countries around the world.

On the evening of June 23, the Hue Lotus Festival 2023, themed "Lotus Beautifies Hue," was officially opened at Tinh Tam Lake in Hue City. The event is directed by the Provincial People's Committee and organized by the Department of Tourism in collaboration with LAATA Vietnam Limited Liability Company, with the participation of Hue Vietnam Organic Company Limited, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, and several other businesses from both within and outside the province.

On Con Co island, I could only take advantage of the little time when the field work mission had lunch to "type" the laptop at full speed. Hai Van Gate is known as "world’s most majestic gate", located at an altitude of nearly 500m right at the top of Hai Van Pass. Once served as the military defense for the Hue Citadel, this defensive cluster was built under the Nguyen Dynasty in such a critical position to control the North-South road and Da Nang Bay.

On the evening of June 10th, the Song Huong (Perfume River) Magazine launched a poetry and painting performance program titled “Perfume River - A River of Poetry” to commemorate its 40th anniversary since its establishment and first issue (June 1983 - June 2023).

There are more than 100 lychee trees (also known as Le Chi) in their fruit-laden season inside Hue Imperial Citadel, contributing to the beauty of the Imperial Palace.
