In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, Hue City becomes extremely bustling as flowers appear everywhere.

Alongside the significant programs and activities that have been taking place in the city to create a joyful and bustling atmosphere to welcome the Lunar New Year of Dragon, Hue City focuses on embellishing the streets to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year), with the highlight of the 2024 Spring Festival stretching from the south bank of the Perfume River to parks and green spots in the city.

On February 3rd, the organizing committee of the 2024 Tet Hue program held a competition for displaying New Year’s Eve offering trays and the exhibition space for the Tet five-fruit trays, traditional Hue cakes, and Tet flower vases.

To sell and serve the customers for the 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon, flowers from the South, the North, and even from the suburban flower-growing areas of Hue are being transferred to Hue central area by traders.

According to Hue Monuments Conservation Center, this Lunar New Year, the Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion, a cultural destination of the heritage of Hue Ancient Capital, is put back into operation as a stopover for visitors from all over the world, after a period of closure.

Recent long-distance calls from my mother have been livelier than ever. Just yesterday, my sister-in-law showed her how to send photos via Zalo, resulting in a morning filled with constant phone messages. As I opened them, I discovered that in my hometown, the preparations for Tet (Lunar New Year) have been going on for over a month.

On January 28, the Provincial Youth Activity Center organized a program to experience the traditional Lunar New Year of Vietnam and South Korea, with the theme "Connecting Spring - Peaceful Tet (Lunar New Year)". The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization.

On January 24, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Phan Ngoc Tho visited and presented gifts at some social protection facilities across the province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of 2024, the Year of the Dragon.

Alongside the whole country, this is when businesses, production facilities, supermarket systems, and markets... in the province are actively preparing goods to meet the shopping needs of the people at year end and the Lunar New Year of Dragon 2024.

Lunar New Year first day(s) is the peak period for tourism, which also marks the beginning of a new year. Currently, the provincial tourism sector, along with units and businesses are providing many services, ensuring interesting and safe experiences for visitors.
