Opportunity for students to try their strength in scientific and technological creativity

HueIC Challenge 2019 is a technological creativity contest sponsored by the US Agency for International Development through the project “Connecting the Mekong sub-region through education and training” (USAID COMET), which aims to help students to get the opportunity to create and try their strength in the field of science and technique.  

The contest focuses on developing the creative skill for students in accordance with the model of the US. The contestant groups compete for the ideas/projects in any areas that meet the need of the society with the norms of creative ideas, practical application, quality, etc.

There were 10 topics joining the final including the inverter converting solar energy into 220V electricity, solar-powered model boat, smoke-free citronella frankincense, and handheld robot system applied in the technology 4.0 era, etc.

In terms of the results, the organizing committee awarded one first prize, one second prize, one third prize, and three consolation prizes. Of which, the model “inverter converting solar energy into 220V electricity” of the students of the Department of Electrical-Electronic Engineering won the first prize.
