Heavy rain throughout November 15 caused thousands of houses in key areas across the province to be seriously flooded. The flood also inundated and divided many low-lying areas in Quang Dien, Phong Dien, Phu Vang, Phu Loc districts, etc.

The 1st Quang Dien Half Marathon 2023 promises to bring to runners novel experience to run on the route amidst the vast nature with green colors of the fields and endless water waves in Tam Giang.

With the number of visitors increasing by 5 - 6 times compared to that of last year, many beaches located from Hai Duong commune (Hue city) to Quang Ngan commune (Quang Dien district) are bustling. Just at the beginning of the beach tourism season, the beaches in Quang Cong and Quang Ngan communes (Quang Dien district) have already attracted a large number of visitors to visit and relax. This is the initial result from the self-renewal efforts and the methodical investments.

Vietnamese wrestlers grabbed big wins again at the SEA Games 32. Contributing to the achievements of wrestling had the merit of sisters Nguyen Thi My Hanh and Nguyen Thi My Trang from Quang Dien when together they successfully defended the championship won at the SEA Games 31.

After receiving a Vich sea turtle on the evening of April 4, the Quang Dien District Forest Protection Department and the Provincial Fisheries Sub-Department took care of and released it back to the sea.

On the morning of February 23, at the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Quang Dien District, Hue Museum of Fine Arts cooperated with the People's Committee of Quang Dien District to organize an exhibition themed “Sac Xuan” (“Colors of the Spring”).
